From the time she as born, Nicole always graviated towards anything & everything creative. Painting, dressing her Barbies, watching movies, listening to music to name just a few of her favourite hobbies. When she was 18 she moved to Montreal to attend Concordia University studing Art History & fell in love with both her program & the french city. Inspired by the vibrant arts & culture scene, Nicole spent many afternoons at the Musée des Beaux-Arts wandering through their exhibits & also spent a lot of time in Old Port & areas like Saint Laurent drinking in the amazing fashion & shops.

Studying Art History really encouraged her eclectic sense of creativity opening her up to so many different genres, decades & mediums ranging from contemporary to medeival, film to fibre art. After graudating with her BA, she moved back to Collingwood, Ontario ready for a change of pace working for a few different smaller companies doing social media, graphic design, digital marketing & content. After a few years in that space, she joined her mother to open Bishop Botanicals skincare, later acquiring the local consignment clothing store formerly known as Hughes, changing the space to combine the two offerings creating “Bishop’s: Botanical Skincare & Curated Consignment” which is located on the main street of Nicole’s hometown.

Through being a shop owner, Nicole has been able to really lean into her creative spirit merchandising the store, doing the social media, collaborating with local photographers, styling for brands, individuals, magazines, shop fashion shows & more. She continues to be inspired by European & Quebecoise design, small town lifestyles & landscapes, antiquity & innovation, & so much more. Nicole loves to pull inspiration from many different places, spaces & polarities & firmly believes that dressing should be fun & life is too short to follow the masses.
